In the past several years, Costa Rica has become one of the most visited international tourist destinations for Americans, Canadians, and Europeans. With the soaring popularity of poker, many of these tourists look for cardrooms or casinos to play Texas hold'em games and Texas hold'em poker tournaments when they travel, and our website strives to make available all the Costa Rica poker information for their trip to Costa Rica. The creators of this website, Costa Rica Poker Party, are a group of poker afficionados wishing to share their intimate knowledge of the local poker scene in Costa Rica.

Much of this site is geared to showing Costa Rica vistors how inexpensive it is to travel to Costa Rica. In the last year, we have witnessed a sharp decrease in prices of airline tickets originating from the US. In addition, whereas only four years ago, there were only a handful of non-stops available from US, today there are over a dozen more non-stops, which means that travel time is much less for millions of Americans.

We strive to deliver an objective review of the Costa Rica poker scene. As new poker rooms open in the country, we will publish them here. Our sister company, Saloon Entertainment, also produces poker tournament events as well as poker cruises, and will occasionally produce a poker tournament in Costa Rica. We will use this site to promote any poker event we’re aware of happening in Costa Rica.
