CYBERSPACE, INTERNET June 8 - When asked to rate the top 75 sites out in cyberspace for the best poker, I tried to consider what I really wanted out of a poker site. I thought about graphics, options, games, players, and the reality of the play. Some sites dazzle with glamour and glitz, but fall short when it comes to the action. Personally, I give more weight to the action and look at the design as a bonus. You may have what you look for in a site and it may differ greatly from my reasons, but at AverageJoePoker.com I found a up-and-coming site that does a lot of the big things well, but the small things great.

As far as the graphics go, I thought they were pretty good. When I first went to the site they were getting a facelift. I like the overall look; it isn't loaded down with lots of flash and is very simple to navigate.

The options to assist the player at the table are limited, but I've never been a big note taker at other sites. You can definitely tell the folks at Average Joe Poker are more focused on the cards and not the bells and whistles.

A big one for me is the assortment of games and this is where AverageJoePoker.com stepped up its game and surprised me. They have it all and more. The biggest thing was that their big games start a lot more often than other sites. As a person who studies the industry, I know that this means less in their pockets, but happier players. Could this possibly mean that a site actually isn't completely focused.
